By 1988, Zulu choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo (named after the township of Ladysmith where they came together more than a decade ago) had received a coveted Grammy Award and had achieved International prominence and acclaim through there association with Paul Simon. The astonishing ten-piece group accompanied Simon on two tracks on his ground breaking Graceland album (Diamonds On the Soled of her Shoes and Homeless) and then toured the concerts of the world with him.
